If I want to stay on track with my plans, I really need to work hard on the current focuses this week: restructuring Say Nope to the Trope and preparing for October.

I have two major writing commitments coming up in October. I’ve already started one, so I’m ahead on the first drafts for Volume 2 of Say Nope to the Trope, and the second is Preptober for the sequel of Rini & Butler. The first draft of the sequel is planned to be smashed out in November for Writvember. Even though I knew I wanted to write a sequel after Rini & Butler, I didn’t start thinking too seriously about it until the beta readers. I already have my premise and what I want to explore, but I will need to iron out those beats I want to hit to make Writvember easy for me.

I have two major things to consider when it comes to Say Nope to the Trope.

1. Should I postpone its starting release to work on it more?
2. Should I consider this hurdle as part of the process/experiment part of the project and keep on with the current timeline?

Part of me is aware that I can sometimes rush into something without being prepared enough when it comes to writing (which is ironically the opposite of how I’ve usually tiptoed through life everywhere else) and I don’t want to put something out there that has to be overhauled SO much that, even with the purpose of the project, it’s not entertaining to readers. The other part of me is weighing up just how much to lay bare about the process of writing Say Nope to the Trope? Do I keep it limited to the edits or should even the process issues be something I share and show? How “behind the scenes” am I going? Would it be interesting? 🤔

That’s what I need to decide by the end of the week 😤
