I work in a supermarket bakery.

Only a few people know that I write but one of the those unknowingly helped me get back into writing last year and kind of pushed the dominoes for “Rini & Butler” even being published now.

The store I work at is the first store I started at. I ended up leaving and working elsewhere for about five years and during that time was coming out and transitioning and so afraid to visit. Even after all that, the first week back, she asked me: “Are you still writing?” I’m not used to people asking me about my writing, and at that point I hadn’t written in almost a year. I told her, “Not really”. And then I went home and immediately started writing again.
