Say Nope to the Trope is technically on schedule. The first draft of the first volume is complete. Rough, but complete. “It’s only a draft,” I keep telling myself.

What “technically” means is that I scrambled to catch up on the end of June and have been twiddling my thumbs towards the end of August because it’s just putting little bits and pieces together.

I have to do some tweaking to the writing plan and will be working on that as soon as I catch a break from my job. Which is supposed to be next week but not likely to be …

The serial will start releasing in Say Nope to the Trope, and anyone willing to read it will also be joining the editing and polishing journey of the series as it progresses. I’ll do a more thorough post another day on the process I’m taking for writing the series and how it’s already changed since inception. I’ve gotten much better at coming to terms with a plan that doesn’t quite work out. I used to scrap it as a failure but one of the best things that I’ve been teaching myself these past couple of years is that it’s okay to change something. Plans are allowed to change! In fact, it’s better if they’re adaptable. I still don’t like it when I’ve spent hours on a plan that, when put into practice, doesn’t work, but that’s how you learn the best way to approach the situation in the first place!
