Registered under the name “Aquila”, Butler originally belonged to the McLorraine household as a high class service-droid, assisting the lady of the house from dawn til dusk.

Perhaps it was bored? Perhaps it was a glitch? But when it sees a battered child in the pouring rain, it considers that it is not obeying its core laws to the best of its ability.

And how does one correct that? You take an apple to the child and impose yourself on their life, of course.
