Though I have experience in the publishing industry, it feels like forever ago and I never self-published anything. Doing it now, I’m often fretting about not knowing how it will go for a first time publish. This means I occasionally Google “Rini & Butler” to gather how the online distribution will work. This morning, I found Rini & Butler on four different platforms, and Goodreads ₍₍⚞(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⚟⁾⁾

Though it doesn’t release until October, there has been a rapid increase in “oh wow I’m actually doing this”. If I’m perfectly honest, growing up, I didn’t think I would make it to this age and so I feel a strange and incredible pride that not only am I still alive, but I am actively pursuing my dream of publishing my stories, despite all the self-doubt. I take pride in all of my work, but it’s quite rare for me to allow myself to feel this proud of myself (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ♡.

I did have to do a bit of digging for it, Kobo being the only thing that showed up without me needing to check actual websites. It has been a little interesting seeing how the prices shift for each platform. I plan on making copies available for Australian readers here on the website. Initially, I will only be able to post local to Australia because of postage costs.

I will update this as we get closer to the release date! And though it’s great to see my book starting to pop up on storefronts, one day I really really hope to see it in a library. Because that’s where I spent so much of my time as a kid. That’s where my books came from until I got my first job and started buying them, outside of the occasional gift. Heck, seeing them in the op-shop would feel almost full-circle 😂
