Do you ever write a scene, and you know the overall plot/story will work better if you remove it, but you love the scene so much that you stubbornly keep it in there, even though it really doesn’t work? Yeah, same.

What I usually do is try to cut the scene out and find somewhere else for it to thrive, but sometimes there are scenes that are too flowing to cut easily and so trying to pinpoint where to cut, to capture all of the important parts of the scene like tension-building etc., is difficult. Argh! But I must have it!
