I have a tooth infection, and the medication is slowing me down. It makes me feel a bit nauseas and it makes my limbs feel kind of sickly and sensitive. I can still move around, but I just move slower. What I have noticed, however, is that I’m feeling more inclined to write and think about important parts of my writing the slower I am. Maybe it’s not about speeding up to spit out pages and get as many things done as possible, maybe I just need to slow down?

And I should really try it while we have this lovely rainy weather!

It’s amazing that, no matter how much you think you know about your own writing process, sometimes you really can’t be sure about it. But I suppose that’s a given, considering how complex humans can be. It’s not so much of a surprise that art can be so hard to wrangle into a conventional set of rules/processes, but it’s still pretty amazing.

Oh yeah, I think about my writing process all the time, but I can’t pinpoint exactly how things work. I do have certain habits, sure, but there’s no real method to it, lol. Anyway, thanks for this post!
