I’ve a bit this week, not nearly as much as I wanted to, but I think I came close to doing as much as I could. Did I follow the schedule I set out at the start of the week? Absolutely not. I don’t think it’s the right time for me to follow the particular schedule I set though, as I have a lot of bigger things I need to be working on and taking care of. I have bigger things to worry about as well. And so I’ll probably reorder my schedule so that I can focus on the things that should take priority over what might be more “extra-curricular” activity.

I’ve been flipping through writing classes and short courses to upskill, and it’s a whirlwind. There are so many options and I can’t really find anything that works for me right now, for a few reasons.

Where I live is in lockdown once again. It doesn’t affect me greatly at surface level, and so I’ve just tried to continue as normal. The weather has been nice at least. It has been cloudy and rainy and cold, and I love it. Though it doesn’t promise me motivation. Instead, it tempts me to sleep in, and then I wake up hours later and spend the remaining half of the day disoriented. I’m never sure how to pull out of those dazes.

The coming week came faster than expected. For some reason I thought the 11th was another week away, and yet it’s tomorrow. It’s too early in the year for me to lose my sense of time! But then again I’m not surprised, and now without many timely obligations, I don’t need to obey it. Not that my body really does anyway.

I hope the coming week is a lot like the week that just passed. It was pleasant.

Whereabouts do you live? Over here in Malaysia, the cases have soared from the hundreds to a few thousand per day, and a lockdown is coming back real soon. It won’t really affect me either (we have this to be thankful for at least, eh?), but here’s to staying safe!

In Australia. We’re getting maybe a couple dozen a day across the country at most. We peaked around August, and it’s (hopefully) on its way out. To staying safe!
