That’s how I feel with my inability to think of anything to accompany any of the leftover prompt words I have: discontent. I’m not sure what’s more frustrating: not finding the energy to start the post or not finding the words to construct it. I don’t know if it’s just because I’m stuck with an unfortunate collection of words or if I’m just not interested in completing the prompt. The words I had to pick from this week’s prompt basket were: weapon, discontent and preliminary. There wasn’t anything the right size about any of the prompts that I could think of writing about, except my discontent at not being able to do so. My writing moods normally have focus, meaning that I just “don’t wanna” write on other topics. Right now, I’m content writing on my focus projects and so am just thinking about them while I write this post, filling it up with the rambles of a writer who just wants to flick back over to what I was writing beforehand. I imagine it would have been easier if my mind accepted a prompt. Those ones that I can look at and a sentence already starts forming in my head. But this was not one of them, and so I will not blather any more on to fill up the prompt and hopefully, the next one will have better substance.
