| Task 1: Why I Write |

When you grow up surrounded by difficulties and abuse, escape is good. I managed to get it through reading at first, just consuming everything I could get my hands on in order to fill my head with nice things. Things that were interesting, amazing and brighter than the world. As I got older I started to insert myself into stories in order to build on that escape, in order to get into the other world. Eventually I figured out that I could create my own world, my own stories and it became an obsession. I think it’s still an escape but now that I’m older I write in order to allow these worlds I’ve created to keep on living. Because I like to tell stories, because there is something overwhelming and invigorating about it. I write because I love to.
