I have been practising writing outside recently. Just writing down the words and ideas as they come and sketching images if I get stuck turning the thoughts into letters. It’s done wonders for thinking about short pieces of writing and building on ideas quickly in a free way. It’s also quite nice to sit outside. I live in the city so most places can be fairly loud for me, so I plug in my ears and sit around the bank areas. It gives me a comfortable space but also lets me people watch (≧▽≦)

For the new turn of the wheel, it’s “new year, better me”. I’m going to start shoving my writing into people’s faces and really bothering people with my professional development. For context, that’s what it feels like when I ask people to read my writing, and when I ask to be trained on something at work. This wheel’s motto is to remember that “if I hold onto my fear of inconveniencing others, I’ll only inconvenience myself”. And at the end of the day, what I ask of others is usually not an inconvenience (⌒_⌒;) (just unresolved trauma).

Wishing warmth as the air grows cold. Regardless of what today means to you, happy writing and pat yourself on the back for another day!
