I am currently rewriting a manuscript ヾ( `ー´)シφ__

It has been edited about three times already, but there were non-negotiable changes that needed to be made after seriously reviewing the impact of parts of it. And so, I am re-writing it. Not completely! But I am starting a fresh draft with the original as a reference.

I’m always scared to do this ~(>_<~). It seems like such a daunting task. A mountain of words I must take and spin back into pen thread. But sometimes it’s truly what the piece needs. I have been working on this manuscript since I was at university… which is starting to become “a while ago” >.> I will go into the issues with it in another post when the main re-write is well under way.

I worried that this manuscript was going to go nowhere but the bin. It was finished, not finished polishing, but it was a completed story. But, having started the re-write, this is definitely the way to go. It’s just about getting over that first hurdle of feeling like I’m throwing away everything I had already written! But it’s really more like realising the puzzle I put together has pieces that were crammed in incorrectly, and so taking it apart whilst using the main work as a guide really helps to give all the pieces a fresh look and make sure they go into the right place this time!
