It rolls together like a snowball filled with the bitter sharps of bad feelings that it picks up, collecting them until suddenly that’s all you can see. And then you get caught up in the ball itself, and it’s all that you are. And you’re stuck there. Stuck, until you can wait it out, until it hits something and breaks apart. Stuck until someone else notices and either stops it themselves or throws something in the way. Sometimes, struggling against the roll just makes the journey worse. Even more stressful. But going with the flow can feel weak. But that’s okay. Because it’s okay to feel weak. It’s okay to be swept up sometimes, and just ride out the wave. Because if we avoid the snowball, or we manage to get out of it early, it’ll only keep growing, and it will be bigger when it crosses your path next.
