There’s something about the first glow of the morning, where everything looks like a shadow as the spill of warm hues begin to push back the cool colours of dawn. And sometimes you see dots of light, as street lamps illuminate spots amongst those shadows, but not the shadows themselves.
And as pastels swirl on the horizon, you start to see definition in the shadows, and the world slowly wakes and reveals itself. With technology today, it might not be so impressive, as we can use the torch of our phones to light up the night. But think about it thousands of years ago, waking up to watch the world wake up as well. Slipping off the blanket of night and showing it is all still there after we sleep.
