Today is the last day of the isolation of just over half of our department. It’s the last day I have off that I have to work. Finally. Though I don’t get a full weekend, I’m excited for my work schedule to go back to normal, particularly because of how busy it’s going to get. What is left behind in the wake of doubling my hours, however, are a pile of overdue tasks that I need to tackle throughout the next week in order to catch up—if I can.
This coming week, I hope to get some writing done, I yearn for it. It’s been a while since I’ve wanted to sit and write for hours so bad but couldn’t. There’s work to be done in several folders, but I think my attention will focus on A Woman’s Conquest and The Writer’s Bookshelf. Now almost all the boxes have been revealed, I want to write a little about those first pieces and start cleaning them up before moving on to the rest of the story that unfolds. I also need to do more work on it before I get carried away threading together a thousand other characters that I might like to add to it.
So, we won’t talk about this week, but I have a lot to do next week. Here’s hoping everyone else is getting some great writing done, or taking a well-deserved break!
