A Covid-positive entered my place of employment last week, and at first Queensland health deemed it a casual contact and so we were going to be fine. And then they updated that to a close contact and the store is on the rocks. My department alone is now just four people, only two of us having experience to run days, and thus, Wednesday shall be my only free day until 12th July. My team members have to get tested and isolate, and my lockdown basically takes place at work. Of course, I volunteered my time and we got lucky because I’ve done extra hours for my other place of employment this week, meaning I’ll be doing reduced hours next week. The schedule isn’t quite in place just yet, and there are some other kinks to work out, like hour restrictions, but I so far, every day except Wednesday will see me venturing out. The biggest worry is that lockdown is meant to be ending, and we have less than half a team. But at least upper management gets it, and they’re not actually expecting us to meet standard expectations. I need to learn to write on the go more than ever!
All of the projects and deadlines I had need to move back a bit … and I just realised there’s one I can’t move but also don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to it … they were right, saying “deadlines” does make things a bit more stressful, haha.
As for what I’ve done this week … well … it was pretty busy … and I was hoping to recharge … and work on my projects next week … so … ahem, don’t @ me.
