I have three novels next to my bed, that are all ongoing reads. There are other novels I’ve started reading, but these are the focuses in line with the reading list I set out to follow last year. Or maybe it was the year before that? I haven’t spent much time reading them recently. One of them (not Jane Eyre or Birthdays for the Dead) is a few pages each day about what happened on “this day” throughout history. Not only do I forget to read it daily, though, but I also get quickly bored by the content. It’s mostly about European-relevant history, and so my interest in it wanes a lot.
I’ve still been reading the occasional article and my comics, amongst other things, but I haven’t sat down for any significant reading. I’m really waiting for when I move to worry about that now. The prospect of having a space to curl up without worry and read is so exciting that it’s made me realise just how much I detest getting comfy and committed to anything long-term in this house … it’s a long story.
I will be taking inventory of all of my books when I move (I’ve already packed most of them away) and so I will then be able to see just how many books I own that I have not read.
