This week I have a few different things going on, some potential job opportunities and some overhauling of the contents of the house. I’ve started going around the house little by little, pulling out all of my belongings, culling them immensely and then dividing that up between rubbish and what can be sent to the op-shops. I’m doing most of the time-consuming work for moving now so that when I get my second job, I won’t be too overwhelmed for time when it’s closer to moving time.

I’ve been looking at writing opportunities, mini courses and competitions and everything as well, and sometimes it’s just as draining to look at as the pages I scroll through trying to look for a job. I’m trying to pinpoint where and what I need to improve on and what I want to learn, so I’m not blindly grabbing at different things that aren’t actually getting me anywhere.

I’m hoping for cool weather like it has been, but I can feel the mornings growing hotter again each morning. Working from home and writing are the two main tasks of the agenda of for this week. And then following close behind that is picking up a second job and sorting the house. It’s quite freeing to cull items from a decade ago. It’s become increasingly important for me to make space for new things, and with this move, I want to make sure there’s a lot of space for new memories with my partner and my little screaming shadow.
