Sometimes I can’t remember if Jane Eyre is the character or the author … and then I remember that there’s a reason they’re referred to as the Bronte sisters. I don’t mind Jane Eyre, but I haven’t been reading much of it recently, I’ve been doing a lot of other things, like prematurely making moving plans … well they’re not quite premature, but I’m just so desperate to move that I’ve already started packing and my lease isn’t up for another four months and so applying for apartments doesn’t start for another two months. I’ve been reading mostly for work and flicking through books as I pack them. I yearn for my reading corner, for a place to comfortably relax. My room is currently too cluttered, and I often don’t like being in the communal areas. The temperature of the house is also terrible, and so it’s hard to get comfortable anywhere in the summer. And I can’t stand a fan blowing on my books as I’m trying to read them.
