I have a busy week ahead of me. I work most of the days this week and on Wednesday (if my skin permits it) will be fairly busy in the morning. They’re all things at different times … which is my least ideal type of week. The silver lining is that I will have a bit more money to back me up if I don’t get another job on time. Looking for a new job whilst trying to polish off the year has been stressful, amongst other things, and I haven’t been sleeping well. I start work in about half an hour and yet I’m starting to close my eyes as I write this … time to down that coffee.

I did get a bit of writing done last week, which was exciting. I was drunk for some of it, reminding me that “drunk me” leaves notes for “sober me” when I can’t be bothered thinking of something. The break in the chapter was:

I also took a look at some of my older writing and started a short story series here on the blog. I was meant to do a writing prompt, but found myself wanting to write something and so switched it up a little. I didn’t really edit the piece but if the series goes well and is fun, I might bind them all into a collection of short stories and fix them up there. I thought about merging it with the Tales of Mylvetta universe, but they’re really two different genres and so it’s just going to be its own thing.

And so, my week will be a busy one as I try to pull together the end of the year, wrap it up and get ready for next year. I think life is about to get a bit harder before it gets better but this time I know that I can get through it. Even if I don’t get a new job in my field or have to return to my old job, I have a better idea of what kind of direction I want to go in and what I want to do to get there!
