I’m the warmth in your chest,
The strength in your feet,
Dressed in honour and valour,
With the faith of the world,
To purge all evils,
That are declared at your discretion.

I’m the villain.

I’m the gripping feeling in your chest,
As you try to breathe,
I’ll help you drown,
Smiling while I do it,
Pressing fingers of mercy into your neck,
Bathing you in freedom.

Rewarded heroism, disdained villainy,
Built up, buried,
As the hero overcomes their burdens,
And the villain embraces them,
Both wearing their self-made armour,
They fight, armed with their beliefs,

I am the hero.
And I am the villain.
