Final grades came out last week and I’m officially done with my degree. All that’s left is my graduation ceremony, which doesn’t happen until next year. For the remainder of the year, I’ll be looking for a new job to start when 2021 ticks over. My contract with my current job ends in December and is contingent on me being a student, and so I’ll be moving on from that soon. I forgot how hard job-hunting was, especially now that I would like to get something more related to what I just spent three years studying, or at least am working towards in the future, but the way things are going, I might have to return to the job I was at before. Which wouldn’t be too bad but I’d rather not.

Setting up the Week

I work today and tomorrow and then either on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on what that schedule holds. Throughout the week it’s job-hunting and trying to wrestle that half-lidded side of me that writes but just keeps SLEEPING. I’ve also been working on some more ‘designer’ type things and have to organise a lot of little projects that I want to do and so will be starting to prepare some kind of timeline I can try and abide by for 2021. Spoiler alert: I probably won’t adhere to it. But I will do my best. And I really don’t have any excuses for next year. I won’t be studying after all.

I’ve thought about what my blog is going to look like now that I’ve finished with my Bachelors of Writing, but have decided to keep it as it is for now. I do also have plans for future studies, and so I might change the title of it then.

This week I welcome December and tentatively greet the beginning of the end of the year.
