Week 6 has started, sooner than I thought as I spent the entire day yesterday believing that it was Saturday (I don’t know how considering DND sessions run on Sundays). Today I did some adult things and now I’m settling down to write, still working on X. One of the things I’ve said that I want to do with this project is start paying more attention to my stylistics, and to do that I need to break out of some writing habits that I have that work in my mind but are perceived as grammatically correct. I don’t think I’ll have as much trouble with X because I’m writing it in third-person and first-person is where I start to distort things with the mind-to-page kind of writing, but I still want to keep an eye out for it.

At the end of this week I have my publishing proposal due and then in the following weeks I’ll have some more essays due. I am really not keen on doing any of it but do want to graduate at the end of the year. I feel like I’m up to my ears in literature, which is a strange thing to complain about considering I more or less want it to be my career.

I had my third day of my internship today and I still really love it, although I need to take proper eye breaks in the future. Today it felt like the computer screen was sucking the life out of me even though I was enjoying what I was reading.
