There is so much to do this week and so much to do next week. And the second wave is coming to Queensland. Wear a mask when you’re going out and wash yo’ damn hands. The hot spots are starting to get closer to my suburb and wondering how much it’s going to escalate in the coming weeks.
This week, I actually wrote a bit, all on one piece but that’s still words on the page. It feels good to be eager to write something again. It fills me with life! I’m also still learning a lot about the Australian writing stylistics. There’s a lot that I didn’t even consider to be more than a personal stylistic choice, like ellipses and em dashes. I’m trying to make such that I’m practising them in my new project but I’m not familiar with everything just yet.
Currently, my targets for the week are at:
- 4,116 / 5,000 for “Personal Writing”
- 2,055 / 2,500 for “Professional Writing”
I’ve been doing some work on making my DND campaign better for my players. I have a lot of original lore that I didn’t realise was so hard to comprehend. We’re doing it virtually so there’s also that lack of a real connection. And so, recently, I’ve been preparing info cards for them. Other than that, I’ve just been doing the same-old, same-old, just poddering along and trying to stop everything flying out of my hands.
That’s my Writing Reflection for the week starting the 17th August 2020.
