This week has been a lot more focused on uni work than actual writing, but I still wrote a lot less than I thought I would. This week I’ve been working on a literature review and I’ve also been waiting for the final assessment to be approved so I can officially start my internship. I’ve never done a literature review before and I’m trying to make sure that I don’t forget that it’s slightly different from writing a normal essay. The topic I’ve chosen to do has also been challenging to find the right literature for. I actually have piles of textbooks, notebooks, pens, notes and bookmarks on my desk right now.
Currently, my targets for the week are at:
- 2,229 / 5,000 for “Personal Writing”
- 4,010 / 2,500 for “Professional Writing”
Right now I’m working on my creative project. I’ve changed my mind a couple of times about what I wanted to write about. I’ve rifled through my old, more neglected projects to look for something that I think will be fitting for the project. I can’t guarantee myself that I won’t change my mind again. I can be pretty indecisive when it comes to picking a writing topic because I know for certain that someone will be reading it. I also have to think about making the assignment easier by catering the piece slightly to the different tasks we’ll be asked to complete. My works hours are reducing and so hopefully I’ll be able to dedicate more time to writing more.
That’s my Writing Reflection for the week starting the 3rd August 2020.
