She was one of the most adorable people I had ever seen, spreading a feeling of admiration and warmth that puckered at my lips in an unconscious smile. Her skin was a creamy mocha, her face decorated in freckles of chocolate sprinkles. Her hair was a downward fan of lightly packed raspberry curls, like bubbles of sweetness. Atop her head was a glass tiara with, designed with crystal flowers and embedded with pearls. She wore a gown of browns and creams, the ruffles and lace against her hair and skin making her look lik a carefully crafted dessert. As I realised what the pearl sigil in her crown meant, I froze. This child, looking like a goddess’s pastry, was the current Queen of Bryggan.
