I wonder what this land would look like

this land filled with parks of green

would it just be vast bush?

would there be a lot of plants I don’t know?

but that’s what I need to remember

that it’s not as if it was a separate world

that land is still here, it is almost the same underneath

it’s just that ‘ownership’ is different

it’s managed rather than cared for

split into blocks and built upon rather than nutured as it grew

I wonder what it would have looked like

if it was still in the hands that had cared for it

for tens of thousands of years
