Bubble bubble, beep beep,
He’s awake and his coffee is on,
Whistle whisssstle, screeeeam,
His coffee is off,
Step step, jingle, ker-chack,
He’s off to work,
Thunk thunk thunk,
Off he goes,
Grind, click, clack,
His bike is gearing down,
Thunk thunk, thump,
He’s home,
Jingle, grind, ker-chack, weeee, boom,
“Ugh”, he falls onto the bed,
Mmm mmmmmmm, fwap,
He tosses his socks off,
Crack, creak, clickety clack,
His bones are whining,
Click, vrrrr, beep, clack clack clack,
He’s relaxing now, his computer is breathing,
Ha ha ha, fweee,
That was a good one,
Click click, tap tap, vrrrrm,
He’s heading to bed,
Click, shup shup… shup,
He’s read another chapter,
Click… iiin ooout… iiin ooout,
He’s fast asleep.
Ha ha, hmmmm,
I love him.
Mini Rationale
I’d never done a Sound Poem before and I still don’t think I actually know what one is. I detached completely from this unit after the first few weeks and so going to the lectures would have cleared this up for me. I decided to just write what I thought was sound poetry based on a normal day in the life of my partner, listening to all of the sounds I know well. This was because I was trying to research what was considered a sound poem and he said it was called ‘Onomatpoetry’.
