I was visiting relatives a few weeks ago and to avoid some of the conversations (political) I started reading the stack of magazines on the little side table beside the lounge I was sitting on. There were three Better Homes and Gardens magazines and as I started reading, my brain started firing off. For some reason, these magazines seem to really inspire writing within me. I spent all night writing and reading the magazines and have even started buying them. I’ve found them incredibly useful for prompting writing, compared to what I had been trying (and failing at) with the writing prompts beforehand.

I’ve been carrying around a proper journal to make sure I’m catching as much as I can and so will be posting those snippets on here. With the sections from Better Homes and Gardens, I will try and remember what it was that lead to the writing piece. Because I’ve bought the magazines, future posts might include photos from them.

I think I found a prompter that suits me. Yay.
