I’ve been having dreams/nightmares about snakes. I see them, try to let them out or try keep them out and then they launch at me. Once I woke up flailing to get it off me and another time I tried to belt it away. I think it might be because they’ve been several enemies in my current Dungeons and Dragons campaign. I haven’t really had nightmares about snakes before then. It’s interesting how snakes are perceived. As slippery cunning Slytherins, or that damning snake from the garden or sneaky little creatures that strangle and bite everything in your backyard. And so they’re seen as creepy and dangerous. But there’s something admirable about snakes. They’re actually quite beautiful, refined and composed creatures. A sleek line of gorgeous scales that come in some really stunning shades, moving in various manners of other beings with only its body and tail. Their large eyes and flicking tongue that aren’t that far from the adorableness we find in other animals right from the get-go. They’re like polished and rolled out gems that were had life breathed into them. Having said that, however, I still would not like to come across one in an intimate space.
