This turn of the wheel, I’m making fire cider for the first time
\(^▽^)/
I’m using an adjusted recipe from The Herbal Academy. It’s adjusted because I couldn’t find all the ingredients and did misremember them when I was at the market (ノ*°▽°*). The differences are that I used a brown onion over read and didn’t have anything to offer in substitute of horseradish.

There are three main things I took away in reflection:
- I had a lot of fun being able to stop worrying about something not working out first go.
- I might have messed it up because some of the contents are above the cider line.
- I have a new assortment of sensory experiences for writing … the main one being turmeric is very oily, has an incredibly familiar smell I couldn’t quite nail down and stains dyes everything a brilliant yellow (⌒_⌒;)
I put the cloth over the top to give it an extra seal but I’m now wondering if it wasn’t the right move. I don’t have a jar big enough, though, and wasn’t sure if the coffee lid would be good enough of a seal on its own considering it sits for at least three weeks.
I’ll let y’all know how it goes („• ֊ •„)
