I’m not too far into my study session with my younger sister and younger brother. I’ve been drawing up my assessment and class schedules and taking a look at what readings/work is already available to prep with. I’m wondering if perhaps I should do this every Sunday. A full day of easy, guided study with snacks, where my siblings can pop in and we can catch up at the same time.
It’ll make my weekend more productive and hopefully put me in a good flow for the start of the following week. I think it’ll evolve to cover more topics than just university study, becoming just my day of productivity in place of cramming stuff in between work and uni. I’m currently getting more hours at work that I want (I know, it sounds crazy) and am hoping they drop back down once semester settles so I won’t be too stressed about this semester. Sometimes work is mentally draining and I just want to play games or watch YouTube videos to wind down and I end up forgetting that I have things to do. Letting myself wind down more in the week and allocating some ‘leisurely’ sutdy time to the weekend might help.
For some reason, none of my spellcheckers are working and so forgive me for any mistakes my eyes don’t catch. Spellchecker is one of those things I definitely take for granted, but it’s usually not that I don’t know how to spell but that my eyes can’t spot it.
I think by making Sundays laid-back with snacks, whilst also studying, might train me to associate studying with good things and make it easier to start. Once I start I usually am on a roll, it’s the ‘starting’ part that I need to get better at.
Let’s try and Pavlov’s Dog my study sessions. Sunday = Snacks & Study.
