In the remainder of this month, I have two more assessments due and part of one due. I have two presentations to write that are due next week and I have to do some critiques for my group.
The first presentation is due on the 26th and then the second one is the next day. One is ten minutes and the other is twenty, although the larger one is a group presentation. I think I’m definitely a lot more comfortable with doing presentations via Zoom, although I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve made social skills progress or literally just because it’s easier. Probably a bit of both but mostly the latter. Once these two presentations are done, I’ll have finished one unit for the month and be closer to finishing the other two. I’ll have a reflection, a final work and a compilation of critiques to do and then I’m done for the semester. Then I will have 24cp left until I graduate, which will either be 3 units or 4, depending on what happens with Covid19.
For this week it’ll be about working on my presentations and practising them. I need to do some more research on them. They’re both very different in content, one being a role-play of a workshop and the second being a biography on an activist where we need to engage with a protest they’ve taken part in. I’m on track for the workshop but I’m a little up in the air with the activist biography. I have a few different ideas for how I want to go about it but I’m not sure how risky they are in terms of my capability to execute them well.
The overall goal is basically to get my assignments done, feel good about them and surge through to the end of the unit without wanting to drop my degree (not really). I need to do research, practice and re-drafting! Drafting! Drafting! Drafting!
To get through these trying times, I’m trying to remember how far I’ve come and how far I’ve got to go to achieve my dream goals (and I have a lot of snacks in my den). Hoping you’re all also having a productive study period!
